I have a data backup generated in a legacy system that uses Intersystems Cache, unfortunately I am not able to obtain a copy or license of Cache (not for lack of trying to purchase one still).

Does anyone have any ideas on how to recover the data? I have tried loading the file into Iris, but I get mostly garbled output trying to export using:

Do ^%GO or Do ^%GOF the latter produces a very small file that contains nothing. The former produces a file that given filesize would indicate the data is there, but it's represented as random characters: ��;��meZ<$a���ǿ�4Z4������H�)�B j�j�ؐ�p�b ���ׅ5{/�@d 0�d���6~$���!U�Tʢ�ڢ�ض<��-]�pqq��9Gz־4 suggesting version incompatibility or heavy file corruption.
