I'm currently working on a kivy application and im using the WSL(windows subsystem for Linux) with the Ubuntu distribution. When i try running a basic kivy app with python, i keep getting this error

> [INFO   ] [Logger      ] Record log in /home/nkehj/.kivy/logs/kivy_25-04-17_7.txt

Segmentation fault (core dumped) I tried asking AI about it and they suggest it's an issue with the sdl2 library. They recommended i install py-sdl2 or pysdl2, which i did and yet nothing works. I still keep getting the same issue. I'd appreciate some help here please.

This is my main.py python file

from kivy.app import App
from kivy.uix.boxlayout import BoxLayout
from kivy.uix.button import Button

# from kivymd.uix.button import MDIconButton # for Material Design buttons

class CommunityApp(App):
    def build(self):
        return BoxLayout(minimum_size= (720,1600))

if __name__ == '__main__':
    CommunityApp().run()
python kivy
