Is there a way to remote-control Visual Studio (Not Visual Studio Code!)

Is there a command-line interface, or a COM object I can talk to, or something?

The specific things I'd like to be able to control remotely:

• Build the solution.

• Start/stop the solution.

• Run a specific unit test or group of tests.

Is there any way I can do all that?

Basically, I have a huge, complex application, and in order to test certain scenarios, I need to do a bunch of stuff to reset the results of the previous run. It would be really useful if I could script all that nonsense, so I can spend less time manually resetting stuff and more time actually debugging the application.
