I have a web app built on the Maps JavaScript API. Users draw lines and labels on the satellite map. I want an export button that saves the current view, imagery plus drawing as a JPEG.

from what i understand googles tiles arent CORS-readable so i can grab the images without doing a screengrab. but then this caused pixelated issues for the vectors drawn over the tiles.

Whats the right way to do this? should i use the map tiles api if that allows it?

the images sole purpose it just to be able to draw lines, objects etc for a road works survey to be replicated in CAD
