My ultimate goal is to get pass-through camera's working on a unity project running on a steam frame.
I have unity sending the apks over adb in-editor. Building fine, rendering and tracking as expected on HMD except for a black background where the passthrough camera should be. I have OpenXR installed, project is validated. I'm using the default OpenXR VR Rig except for AR Camera Background, AR Camera Manager, AR Session components I've added to its camera. Camera background is solid color 0,0,0,0.
I believe it may not be working due to not having XrEnvironmentBlendMode set to AlphaBlend. It almost seems like it would be an openxr setting in the project settings but it's no where I could find.
I made this class and created an instance of it from a monobehavior and called enableBlend() inside of the monobehavior's awake.
using UnityEngine.XR.OpenXR.Features;
using UnityEngine.XR.OpenXR.NativeTypes;
public class enableOpenXRAlphaBlend : OpenXRFeature
{
public void enableBlend()
{
SetEnvironmentBlendMode(XrEnvironmentBlendMode.AlphaBlend);
}
}
Still no luck. The background remains flat black. I think I'm on the right track but don't know how to proceed.
Appreciate any help
