I am writing a Delphi IDE plugin which allows me to change global library and browsing paths for a specific platform by directly modifying an appropriate Registry key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\...\Library\.

After the Registry key is successfully changed, opening the "Options" dialog still shows the old settings. Only after I restart the IDE it will pick up new values from the Registry.

According to the How instruct to the Delphi IDE refresh the modified syntax highlight colors using OTA (Open Tools API)? there is no way I can force the IDE to reload its Registry settings.

Is there a way to change global library and browsing paths for specified platforms through OTAPI instead of modifying the Registry?
