I have a detail section configured for multiple column data (Across then Down). I would like to add some fixed text on the left side (row labels) which repeats for each new row but not for each column.

I am aware of cross-tabs but would like to know if there is another way to achieve what I want.

I am almost there if I put my fixed text in the left side of my detail section and then put my multiple column data on the right side of the detail section as a subreport. But the subreport just grows for all columns of data and the fixed text doesn't repeat.
