SkyCompute: Satellite-Based Cloud Computing Architecture
08:17 07 Jul 2026

I am writing to share an innovative concept I have developed called SkyCompute, which represents a significant shift in device architecture. By eliminating traditional onboard CPUs and GPUs, SkyCompute leverages high-speed satellite internet connectivity to offload all computational tasks to remote cloud data centers. This design enables the production of ultra-affordable devices priced under $50 that are lightweight, highly energy-efficient, and accessible to underserved communities around the globe.

The core innovations of this approach include:

1-Substantial hardware simplification, leading to reduced manufacturing costs and lower power consumption

2-Universal accessibility enabled by satellite-based connectivity

3-Improved environmental sustainability through minimized electronic waste

4-Enhanced data security via centralized cloud management

5-Broad applicability across fields such as space exploration and autonomous vehicles

SkyCompute directly addresses key global challenges in digital inclusion, sustainable technology development, and worldwide connectivity.

I have prepared a comprehensive technical paper that outlines the complete architecture, its advantages, and potential real-world applications. The document is available here for your review:

I would welcome your feedback and any thoughts you might have on this proposal.

Thank YOU,
