Zebra Browser Print at Chrome started giving CORS error
10:11 10 Nov 2025

I'm using Zebra Browser Print at my webpage to print tags by javascript. At my Windows machine I've installed the latested Zebra Browser Print and also the latested version of the javascript library, all this from the official Zebra website. I was working good for couple of years but now it started to present an error at Chrome when the library makes the call http://127.0.0.1:9100/available to retrieve the available devices. Error:

Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'http://127.0.0.1:9100/available' from origin 'https://mywebsite.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: Permission was denied for this request to access the unknown address space.

Looks like a HTTPS website assets can no longer make calls to HTTP.

I saw some old posts at GitHub (https://github.com/lhilario/zebra-browser-print-wrapper/issues/10) and Zebra Community (https://supportcommunity.zebra.com/s/question/0D56S00009DYjcjSAD/has-browserprint-stopped-working-in-chrome-due-to-cors-issue?language=en_US) but it seems to not have a solution so far.

Does anybody have a permanent solution for that?
