How can I improve user trust and conversions on an online course landing page?

I’m working on an online course website that helps users complete a defensive driving course required for ticket dismissal in Texas. The landing page explains the course clearly, but I’m trying to improve how many users actually sign up after visiting.

Right now, the main challenges are:

  • Users visit but don’t always complete signup

  • I want to make the page feel more trustworthy

  • I’m also trying to improve clarity in explaining the process

What are some effective ways to improve trust signals and conversion rates on a simple online course landing page? Are there any design, content, or UX practices that work especially well for educational or certification-based websites?
