I’ve been thinking about building a project that actually solves a real problem instead of making another basic CRUD app or clone project.

My interests are mainly in:

• Machine Learning

• NLP

• Cryptography

• Physics-based systems/simulations

• Game development

I want to combine some of these areas into one meaningful project, but I’m struggling to find a problem that is both useful and realistic to build as a student.

Most project ideas online feel overused or too generic, so I’m looking for ideas that are:

• practical in real life

• technically interesting

• research-oriented

• possible to scale further later

I’d really appreciate suggestions from people who’ve worked on unique projects or research before.

Some examples I’m interested in:

• AI for education or healthcare

• privacy/security focused systems

• NLP tools for local languages

• physics simulations with real applications

• game systems that solve learning or training problems

Any ideas, research directions, or even “this problem still needs solving” type suggestions would help a lot.
