This is a pretty minor issue, but it's gotten under my nerves to the point where I figured I should ask around and try to find a fix.

At some point in the past couple months my Notepad app stopped opening on the side of the screen where I always keep it. It opens in the center, and I need to click and drag it to the side every time. My workflow relies a lot on keeping notepad over on the side while my other windows are visible, so it's been a consistent annoyance every time I use it.

For clarity, this happens consistently every time (not just on restart or login). Furthermore, no other program seems to behave this way (they all remember the position where they were last closed); it's just notepad that forgets.

Steps to reproduce: Open Notepad, move it, close it, immediately reopen it.
Expected Behaviour: Notepad opens where it was moved to.
Actual Behaviour: Notepad opens in the center of the screen.
