I want to make Facebook reels silent by default. I would turn the sound on occasionally.

Facebook suggests me reels on its home page (see picture). I noticed the following:

• clicking one of them opens it with sound, but
• if I click into the URL bar of the browser, and press Enter, the URL doesn't change, but the reel reloads with sound turned off.

This proves, it is possible.

Is there a way to achieve what I want? E.g. with a user script, or by writing a browser add-on, but I am open to other solutions too.
