We want a button that displays a dialog popup with YES/NO options. If the user chooses YES, then we want to populate a specific control with "done" in all the rows in a repeated grid.

We have tried many options but cannot get XML code to populate all control values.

This test form populates the first row only. At the bottom of XML code you can see some variations we have tried.
