My instructor recently asked me to learn Angular, but my last project was built with React. I’m a junior web developer and I’m trying to understand how relevant Angular is in today’s frontend job market compared to React.
From what I know, React seems more popular overall, but many enterprise companies still use Angular for large, structured applications. I’ve also read that Angular has a steeper learning curve than React because it’s a full framework with TypeScript and more built‑in concepts, while React is considered easier to start with.
My questions are:
How is the current job market for Angular developers vs React developers (especially in 2025–2026 and in India, if that context matters)?
Is Angular becoming “niche,” or is it still widely used and worth investing serious time into?
For a junior developer, does knowing both React and Angular actually help in getting opportunities, or is it better to go deep into just one?
From a learning perspective, is Angular significantly harder than React for someone who already knows basic React?
I’m not asking which is “better” in general, but how to think about learning Angular after React in terms of career impact and learning effort.
