I'm on a paid Twilio account and I'm facing two related issues with Voice calls to Morocco (+212). SMS works perfectly fine.
Problem 1 : Voice calls fail with error 21216
Error : Unable to create record: Account not allowed to call +212XXXXXXXXX
Problem 2 : Cannot verify Moroccan number as Caller ID
When trying to add +212XXXXXXXXX as a Verified Caller ID:
SMS verification is restricted in Morocco (not available)
Call verification always returns: "Voice verification has timed out or failed"
What I already checked:
Paid account (not trial)
SMS to the same number works perfectly
Voice geo-permissions for Morocco are enabled in the console
Live credentials confirmed (not test)
Opened a ticket with the Support but its been a week and they are not responding.
Both problems seem to be caused by the same root issue : Voice calls to Morocco are blocked on my account despite geo-permissions being enabled. This creates a loop where I can't verify the number because verification requires a Voice call, which is also blocked.
Has anyone solved this? Is there a specific setting or support action needed to unlock Voice calls to Morocco on a paid Twilio account?
