Is it possible to see HTML behind a canvas where Three.js is rendered?

I tried to do this because it’s needed for this mockup.

Or should this part of the mockup be done differently?
The problem is that this blue area above the lens moves chaotically after scrolling.
Is it possible to see html behind the lens, which is black in this example? Ideally, it should be transparent.
