We are currently evaluating FreeScout as a potential group-wide helpdesk solution
and are preparing a POC that could later evolve into a production setup.
Target scope:
~300+ end users
~10 different companies (multi-entity usage)
Single FreeScout instance
Multiple mailboxes
Around 5–10 agents (internal + external helpdesk)
Moderate ticket volume (mostly business hours, no heavy concurrency)
We plan to run FreeScout without Docker with attachments and database on persistent volumes.
Before finalizing the server provisioning, we would like to get community feedback on:
Recommended CPU / RAM sizing
Disk usage expectations (database + attachments growth)
Any known bottlenecks at this scale
Whether vertical scaling is usually sufficient or if specific tuning is advised
We’ve seen mentions that very small instances (t2.nano) can work for small setups,
but we want to size something realistic and comfortable for this scope.
Any real-world feedback or sizing examples would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
