I have a problem with importing a 3D model from Blender into Godot. I created my apartment model in Blender and exported it as a .glb file into Godot 4.5. I generate the CollisionShape3D using Mesh → Create Collision Shape → Static Body Child / Trimesh, but the generated collisions do not work correctly.
My player is a standard capsule with capsule collision. When I try to enter the apartment, the player cannot walk inside. If I jump into the doorway, the character gets stuck in the floor collisions. I tried rebuilding the model and also generating collisions directly in Blender by adding the “-col” suffix.
Interestingly, at one point half of the model worked correctly, while the other half had this problem. I attached a picture: the left area is accessible, while the right area has collision sticking issues. The left side was modeled manually, while the right side was duplicated and mirrored in Blender. I recalculated the normals, but it didn’t help. I also tried exporting only the left half and duplicating/mirroring it inside Godot to recreate the right half, but the problem persisted.
I don’t know how to fix this anymore, because creating collisions manually is very long and inconvenient. Image from viewport in godot
