I am getting an unexpected "floating-point division by zero" exception message in a call to D3DXMatrixLookAtRH in a DirectX9 C++ project. The message only shows up in Debug builds. In release builds the software runs normally.
I reduced the code to the smallest possible snippet and couldn't see any issue. So I asked google's ai to give me some sample code for D3DXMatrixLookAtRH. I get the same error message with the google ai provided code.
I can't figure out how to make progress. What can I do to debug this issue?
