Elementor: “Sticky” Effect Not Working on Frontend (Works in wordPress/Elementor Editor)
12:27 27 Nov 2025

I am trying to use Elementor’s built-in Sticky feature for a header section, but it only works inside the Elementor editor. On the live frontend, the section does not stick at all when I scroll.

Already I checked: Sticky is set to Top on Desktop/Tablet/Mobile

Z-index added (100, 999, even 9999)

No motion effects are disabled

No custom CSS hiding overflow

Disabled all plugins except Elementor + Elementor Pro

Regenerated CSS & Data in Elementor Tools

No JS errors in console

I forced it,

position: sticky !important;
top: 0;

it works, which means the issue is probably JavaScript-related, not CSS I also found that some themes add:

overflow: hidden;

to wrapper containers, which breaks sticky positioning

What can cause Elementor’s sticky feature to stop working on the frontend? Are there common conflicts (themes, CSS overflow, JS optimizers, etc.) that disable sticky behavior?

Any advice or debugging steps would be really helpful.
