Suppose I have two sheets: Sheet A's rows come from somewhere else, e.g. a Google Form, continually added to and kept in chronological order of addition, but subject to modification (e.g. manually). Sheet B is a subset of Sheet A, selected by formula, e.g. selecting all rows with a particular value in a particular column.
I'd like to add a column "Notes" to Sheet B, where people can add information on the selected rows. This is easily done by adding a column, say to the left of the columns holding the selected rows.
The trouble is that the selected rows aren't stable, and the new column is. If changes are made to Sheet A causing slightly different rows to be selected, the values in the Notes column will be in the wrong place.
This can be solved by putting the Notes column in Sheet A instead and copying it over to Sheet B. But suppose I want multiple sheets, B, C, D, etc., each selecting a different set of possibly fluctuating rows from Sheet A, each with an independent Notes column. What I need is some way to attach the notes to the selected rows so that when the selection varies the notes vary along with them. Looking for any ideas.
