I have a branch that I want to merge into the master and I'm not sure why I'm not seeing a clear path to do so. Using Visual Studio 2019, I can see that the project has the master and one branch, call it MyBranch for purposes of this conversation.

The local branch shows the master and MyBranch. So does the "remotes/origin". I have already committed and synched all the changes to MyBranch.

When I right-click on the local master, I see options to "merge master into MyBranch" and "Rebase MyBranch onto master".
When I right-click on the local MyBranch, the options for merge and rebase are disabled.

When I right-click on the remotes/origin master, I see options to "merge origin/master into MyBranch" and "Rebase MyBranch onto origin/master".
When I right-click on the remotes/origin MyBranch, I see options to "merge origin/MyBranch into MyBranch" and "rebase MyBranch onto origin/MyBranch".

I can't make sense of any of this. I was expecting to see an option to merge MyBranch into master, but it's nowhere to be found. Can someone please explain how I can merge MyBranch into the master?
