The screenshots show my problem!

Why is the locale not set properly when I connect to my (same) local Linux server on my new Mac vs. old Mac?

I am having problems using Terminal on my M4-26.1 Mac. It seems when I login to my local server via the new Mac, the locale is not set, after hours of searching I just cannot figure it out.
